The market in India for construction equipment is ahead of its position two years, when the last bC India took place. The most active sector of the industry is road building, and Volvo CE will be focused on this industry, among others, in our display at the show. Outside road building, there is also growing interest in mining equipment and materials supply for the construction sector.

SDLG to Launch Wheel Loader, Motor Grader

SDLG will unveil its new wheel loader range L933L at Bauma Conexpo India 2016 and also showcase the best-selling LG958L. In India, SDLG currently offers two wheel loaders: the 3-tonne rated LG936L and the 5-tonne rated LG958L, both of which are popular in applications such as general construction, dockside work and mining.

The bC India 2014 at Greater Noida was held under a lot of uncertainties and hopes. There was a new government at the Centre which was yet to come out with its policies. The banks were under a lot of pressure due to NPAs and customers were under huge stress due to rising interest rates.

The current equipment industry scenario is quite different. During last bC India, the market was going through a crisis. The requirements were on decline and sale had dropped considerably. This year, the situation is much better.

On a global perspective, the demand of AWPs has certainly increased both in government and private sector. Rental sector is also seeing good demands of our equipment which is an encouraging sign.

BC India buzzing

India?s construction equipment market is currently in the vertical portion of the U trajectory of growth. Many analysts predict a sustained growth in double digits for the next decade, to begin with. Obviously, the allied industry will be an equal partner in this growth story.

India showcase

Look at the slew of dismal facts. There has been an overall slowdown in Indian infrastructure activity due to lack of clearances of new as well as ongoing infrastructure projects. Even L&T chief AM Naik has indicated that the project pipeline is drying up. Many projects have not progressed even after being approved of by the central government and after achieving financial deal closure, too.

MOBA's new automation systems

MOBA is launching two of its latest automation systems: the cost-effective MDM-100 system for drilling machines and the upgraded MOBA compaction assistant system MCA-2000 with an advanced touch-screen colour graphic display.
